Northern California Homebrewers Organization

The Northern California Hombrewers Organization is the umbrella orgainzation for the Northern California Homebrewers Festival, and the California State Competition.

Northern California Homebrew Festival is a weekend gathering of homebrewers and Homebrew Clubs to foster community and share the results of our work and creativity.

Started by a small core of brewers in 1998, the fest was held in Skyline Park in Napa for several years before finding a fabulous spot at Lake Francis resort, in the Sierra Foothills between Marysville and Nevada City.  The resort offers a large festival grounds and plenty of room for camping, cabins, and resort facilities.

The festival itself kicks off with a "hoppy hour" on Friday evning and a brewer's dinner, traditionally planned and executed by the Homebrew Chef, Sean Paxton. On Saturday, clubs setup booths based on the year's theme, and offer their beers, meads, and ciders to share; the festival arranges guest speakers, a raffle, a homebrew competition, and games and activities. All activities are run by volunteers, and all are welcome to help out.
